Catherine O'Kelly Classical Guitarist
Summer Guitar Festival
June 11th - June 14th 2020
About our June 2020 Festival:
Join the Guitar Studio of Catherine O'Kelly for our first ever Online Guitar Festival!
With most things canceled this spring and summer, it's nice to have something to look forward to, especially if it gives us a way for us to get together and share our passion for guitar!
The focus of the festival is classical guitar, but other styles are welcome too.
Festival events include master classes, a composition class and workshop, a songwriting class and workshop, a Suzuki group class, student recitals, a guitar ensemble, a faculty concert, and a concert featuring guitarists from around the world. The guitar ensemble will have the exciting opportunity to perform the world premiere of a new piece by composer Michael Stubblefield!
The festival runs from Thursday, June 11th, 2020 through Sunday, June 14th, 2020. All events will be held online through Zoom. Links will be distributed before the festival.
There are three types of registration for the festival:
Full Festival: 20 spots available (includes Guitar Ensemble)
Guitar Ensemble: 10 spots available
Audit the Festival: 50 spots available
See Registration Information for details

Songwriting Class:
Singer/songwriter Mandy Sullivan will teach an hour long course in songwriting. She will cover the history of songwriting, different genres and styles of songs, elements of a song, song structure, the creative process of songwriting, and how to craft a song by writing lyrics, melody, rhythm, and harmony. Open to everyone.
